Environment plays a major role in the existence of all living beings. It provides the vita requirements for a healthy life. We all need to breathe fresh air and quench our thirst. Hence the environment provides all living beings with these two basic needs. It is our bonded duty to protect the environment and keep it clean. If not, it's the human beings who will suffer the consequences of polluting it. Man is responsible to maintain the cleanliness and preserve the environment for future generations.
Yet man is so selfish that he has no allowance for prudence. He throws garbage without proper management and pollutes the environment. There by mosquitoes, flies and other stray animals carry the germs and attack the humans. When the environment is polluted man is threatened with all kinds of diseases.
Felling of trees and destroying forests have resulted in reducing oxygen in the air and thereby humans are affected seriously. It also affects the water cycle and sometimes we have to experience droughts for long periods. A drought can destroy trees, animals and even humans.
Having a clean environment will lead to a healthy life. Man should be mentally comfortable before he settles down to his work. A clean and pleasant surrounding can lead him to a successful life.
It is our duty to protect the environment. We should have a disciplined life and not throw about garbage polluting the atmosphere for others. We should not cut down trees unnecessarily and even if we cut down a tree we should plant two for the future. We should refrain from destroying nature and make everyone live in comfort.
It is important that the environmental authority should conduct special programmes to educate the people on this particular subject by creating an awareness about the consequences people could suffer. The local authority must have an organized system of removing garbage and making people get used to good habits.
It is due to ignorance, illiteracy and selfishness that people create problems to the environment. Hence the authorities should take necessary steps to overcome this situation.
